EPA Won't Revisit GHG Emissions Rule For Heavy Vehicles

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 2:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Monday it will not reconsider greenhouse gas emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles, denying a petition questioning the rule's environmental impact from clean energy equipment maker Plant Oil Powered Diesel Fuel Systems Inc.

POP Diesel, which produces technology for diesel engines allowing them to operate on vegetable oil, had argued that the EPA did not sufficiently consider the rule's so-called rebound effect.
