Highmark, UPMC Extend Contract Amid Antitrust Feud

Law360, Philadelphia (August 28, 2012, 6:07 PM EDT) -- The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and insurer Highmark Inc. have agreed to an 18-month contract extension to ensure policyholders have continued access to the hospital amid its antitrust challenge to the insurer's merger with a rival system, according to state records released Tuesday.
