Lloyd's Fights Gun Club Over Contamination Claims

Law360, New York (August 29, 2012, 7:34 PM EDT) -- Underwriters at Lloyd's of London said Tuesday it has no duty to defend the Ashland Gun Club Inc. and the city of Ashland, Ore., against a lawsuit claiming lead bullets from the gun club's shooting range — found on land leased from the city — are polluting water and damaging property.

The insurer filed an amended complaint in Oregon federal court, claiming the six commercial general liability policies it issued to the Ashland Gun Club do not provide coverage for the underlying suit. Lloyd's also disclaims...
