Feinstein Pushes For Cybersecurity Executive Order

Law360, New York (August 29, 2012, 9:57 PM EDT) -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., on Tuesday urged President Obama to use his executive power to override Congress' failure to establish standards to protect the security of the nation's critical infrastructure, on the same day that Republicans approved a party platform that rejected the creation of these standards.

In a letter to the White House, the Senate Intelligence Committee chairman called on the president to issue an executive order “or take other appropriate action” to defend U.S. government and private sector computer networks from cyberattacks and espionage....
