Mitsubishi Heavy In Partnership Talks With Wind Turbine Co.

Law360, New York (August 29, 2012, 4:16 PM EDT) -- Financially beleaguered Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S confirmed Monday that it is in talks with Japanese industrial giant Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. to form a long-term strategic partnership.

Vestas, the world's largest wind turbine maker, has been in the red since 2011 and posted a $213 million loss in the first half of 2012. The company has been the subject of speculation about a potential sale or strategic divestment of its vast turbine holdings.
