China Will Review Duties On BPA From Japan, S. Korea, Others

Law360, New York (August 29, 2012, 5:19 PM EDT) -- China will launch a full review of the anti-dumping duties that the country currently imposes on shipments of plastic-making chemical bisphenol A imported from Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan, government officials said Wednesday.

The country's ministry of commerce announced that it would conduct a year-long investigation into the duties on bisphenol A — commonly used as an ingredient in the production of high-strength polycarbonate plastics — to decide if domestic companies still needed them.

The investigation is scheduled to start Thursday, according to the statement....
