NRC Won't License French Co.'s Md. Reactor Project

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 2:08 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission panel on Thursday rejected a proposal for a nuclear reactor in Maryland, giving the project's French owners an ultimatum to find a U.S. partner to comply with the Atomic Energy Act, which restricts foreign owners from obtaining licenses for such projects.
