Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 6:44 PM EDT) -- Litigation spending at corporations will stay flat over the next year, which means competitive firms looking to get a larger piece of the pie will need to develop strategies specific to their clients' needs, according to a new report.

The rate of settlement has enjoyed a substantial boom over the last few years, with corporate counsel expecting to settle more than 40 percent of current cases over the next year, up from 22.2 percent in 2009, according to Wellesley, Mass.-based BTI Consulting Group Inc.'s Litigation Outlook...
