Dewey Seeks More Time To File Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 2:55 PM EDT) -- Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP on Wednesday asked a New York bankruptcy judge to grant it four more months to file a Chapter 11 plan, citing its work on its $70 million partner contribution plan and a retiree group's recent bid for a trustee.

The winding-down law firm is asking for extensions through Dec. 31 of its exclusive right to file a plan and through March 1 of its right to solicit acceptances of its plan. A hearing on the motion is set for Sept. 20....
