Guidelines Sentencing Sought In Asbestos Demolition Scheme

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 7:28 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors on Thursday recommended guidelines sentencing for three men convicted of illegally demolishing a factory that contained large amounts of asbestos, with one defendant facing up to 20 years for attempting to cover up the scheme.

Donald Fillers, the part-owner and general partner for Watkins Street Partners LLC, a company formed in order to buy and demolish the factory in Chattanooga, Tenn., faces up to 20 years in prison for the scheme, while the company's manager David Wood faces about 15 years, according to court...
