Enbridge, Others Building Utica Shale Pipeline To Canada

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 1:37 PM EDT) -- DTE Energy, Spectra Energy Corp. and Enbridge Inc. have formed a joint venture to build a 250-mile pipeline that will transport 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day between Ohio, Michigan and Ontario, the companies announced Tuesday.

Detroit-based DTE Energy, Houston-headquartered Spectra and Calgary, Alberta-based Enbridge said they signed a memorandum of understanding for the Nexus Gas Transmission project, which will transport shale gas produced in the Utica shale in northeast Ohio to U.S. and Canadian markets.
