TransCanada Proposes New Keystone Route Through Neb.

Law360, New York (September 5, 2012, 9:22 PM EDT) -- TransCanada Corp. on Wednesday proposed rerouting the controversial Keystone XL oil sands pipeline to avoid environmentally sensitive areas in Nebraska, in a bid to win final approval from state regulators for a crucial part of the project.

In a report submitted to the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, TransCanada said it had developed a “preferred alternative” for the Keystone pipeline’s route through Nebraska based on input from some 670 residents of the state.
