Sunshine Act Authors Urge CMS To Finalize Rule

Law360, New York (September 5, 2012, 7:08 PM EDT) -- The authors of the Physician Payment Sunshine Act, a provision in the Affordable Care Act requiring drugmakers to publicly disclose payments to doctors, will use the Senate's return next week to pressure federal regulators to finally implement the act, the authors said Wednesday.

On Sept. 12, Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis., will be joined by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, in holding what they've termed a roundtable discussion on the importance of implementing the act.
