Microsoft, Olympus Ink Cross-Licensing Deal

Law360 (October 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. and Olympus Corp. have signed off on a broad patent cross-licensing agreement, expanding the current licensing deal between the two companies.

Microsoft said in a statement that the agreement relates to patented technologies used in consumer electronics, particularly products involving digital imaging technologies. The Redmond, Wash.-based software giant also said the agreement was designed for the development of future products.
