US, China Pledge To Cooperate On Cybersecurity, IP Theft

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 3:03 PM EDT) -- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her Chinese counterpart signaled Wednesday that the two countries would begin to work more closely together in dealing with cybersecurity and intellectual property theft, areas in which the U.S. and China have had problems in the past.

Clinton said she had raised concerns about the growing threat of cyberattacks during discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and other officials in Beijing and expressed confidence that the two countries could find common ground.
