Hanwha Solar Unfairly Favors Korean Workers, Ex-Exec Says

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 3:56 PM EDT) -- A former marketing and strategy director with Hanwha SolarOne USA Inc. has sued the renewable energy company in New Jersey court for allegedly terminating him because he is not of Korean descent and because he complained about the unequal compensation of a female colleague.

Flanders, N.J., resident Edward Garcia accuses the company, a subsidiary of NASDAQ-listed Hanwha SolarOne Co. Ltd., of breaching the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination as well as the state's Conscientious Employee Protection Act.
