USTR Fights Lumber Cos.' Suit Over $500M Deal In Fed. Circ.

Law360, Chicago (September 6, 2012, 5:21 PM EDT) -- U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk urged the Federal Circuit on Wednesday to reject domestic lumber companies' attempt to revive their suit alleging they were improperly cut out of a $500 million settlement with Canada over a duty dispute, saying the deals' terms were within the USTR's discretion.
