Microsoft Wants To Yank Appeal Of KFTC Ruling

Law360 (October 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. has given up its appeal of a 32.5 billion won fine the Korean Fair Trade Commission levied against the software giant two years ago over its alleged software bundling.

According to an official of the High Court in Seoul, Microsoft asked Wednesday to withdraw the pending appeal, a request the KFTC still must review, the Korea Times reported Tuesday. Microsoft confirmed as much in a statement but declined to comment further since the case was still pending.
