Shippers Eyed By US, Europe, Japan Amid Cartel Concerns

Law360, New York (September 7, 2012, 8:27 PM EDT) -- Shipping company Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA said Friday that two companies it partially owned were under scrutiny from competition authorities from Japan, the U.S. and Europe, a development that follows reports that Japan is investigating a suspected maritime shipping cartel.

Japanese competition regulators dropped in on Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics and EUKOR Car Carriers, while WWL has received requests for information from the European Commission, Wilh.
