Md. Negligence Doctrine May Be Too Entrenched To Change

Law360, New York (September 11, 2012, 9:45 PM EDT) -- Maryland’s highest court is considering overturning the 165-year-old doctrine that lets defendants off the hook for damages if a plaintiff's negligence is even slightly to blame for an alleged injury, but attorneys say reversing course could have consequences for other parts of the state’s liability law.
