Calif. Judicial Group Calls For Halt To 7 Courthouse Plans

Law360, San Diego (September 11, 2012, 9:50 PM EDT) -- In light of the $544 million in budget cuts to the California trial court system, a working group for the state Judicial Council said Monday it had recommended that seven courthouse construction projects be put on hold indefinitely.

The court facilities working group identified that two courthouse projects in Kern County, two in Los Angeles County, and one each in Monterey, Pacer and Plumas counties should be delayed until funds become available sometime in the future.
