3M Sues Korean Company Over LCD Optical Films

Law360 (October 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- 3M Co., the inventor of goods such as Scotch tape and Thinsulate, revealed on Wednesday that its Korean subsidiary has filed a patent lawsuit in Korea against LGS Co. Ltd. over optical films used in liquid crystal displays.

The suit by 3M Korea Ltd. alleges that LGS manufactured and sold optical films used to manage light in LCDs that infringed on a Korean patent owned by 3M.
