Privacy Law Updates Would Clarify Cloud, Streaming Protections

Law360, New York (September 12, 2012, 10:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee is set to consider proposed revisions to the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Video Privacy Protection Act on Thursday, legislation attorneys say would overhaul existing laws to apply consistent privacy protections to newer technology such as cloud computing and online streaming video.
