Kimberly-Clark's Diaper Patent Claim Stinks, Judge Says

Law360, Los Angeles (September 13, 2012, 5:15 PM EDT) -- A Wisconsin federal Judge on Wednesday threw out one of Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc.'s patent infringement claims in its suit against First Quality Baby Products LLC over diaper products, saying a similar international patent application invalidated Kimberly-Clark's intellectual property claim.

Wednesday’s ruling pared down Kimberly-Clark’s fierce fight over seven patents related to the $900-million-a-year disposable training pants market, more than a year after the Federal Circuit trimmed the company's bid for an injunction against First Quality.
