Carlyle Reports $2.9B Raised For US Buyout Fund

Law360, New York (September 17, 2012, 6:25 PM EDT) -- Washington-based private equity giant Carlyle Group LP has raised nearly $2.9 billion for its sixth flagship U.S. leveraged buyout fund and plans to limit the fundraising to one year, Carlyle said in a Monday securities filing.

The private equity firm said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that Carlyle Partners VI LP has raised $2.87 billion from investors. The fund offers pooled investment interests and limited partnership interests, according to the filing.
