Union Targets USPS' Use Of "Casual" Workers

Law360 (October 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A local branch of the National Postal Mail Handlers union has fired back at the United States Postal Service, seeking to force the post office to comply with an earlier arbitration ruling concerning the use of full-time versus "casual" employees.

On Thursday, the Local 305 filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, asking the court to enforce the employment decision handed down in July that the USPS has allegedly failed to accept.
