MSRB Names FINRA Veteran As New General Counsel

Law360, New York (September 20, 2012, 4:53 PM EDT) -- The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, the regulator for the $3.7 trillion U.S. municipal bond market, said Thursday it has hired a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority veteran attorney to be the organization's general counsel.

Gary L. Goldsholle, who is currently vice president and associate general counsel at FINRA, will oversee the MSRB's legal activities, including market regulation, professional qualifications, enforcement support and corporate governance, according to the regulator.
