Americans Willing To Blow Whistle On Misconduct: Survey

Law360, New York (September 20, 2012, 7:53 PM EDT) -- A vast majority of Americans would blow the whistle on corporate misconduct with the incentives and protections offered under the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's whistleblower program, but most aren't aware of the program, according to a survey released Wednesday by Labaton Sucharow LLP.

The firm's second annual Ethics and Action Survey, which polled more than 1,000 Americans on corporate ethics and wrongdoing, found that 83 percent of Americans said they would blow the whistle if given financial incentives and protected from employer retaliation.
