SLU's $7M Medtronic Royalties Suit Removed To Colo.

Law360, Washington (September 20, 2012, 10:15 PM EDT) -- A Missouri federal judge has refused to toss Saint Louis University's $7 million case alleging a Medtronic Inc. subsidiary underpaid medical device royalties, and transferred the case to Colorado to join Medtronic's pending case against the university.

U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber said on Sept. 13 that SLU breached an agreement with Medtronic Navigation Inc. to not sue each other over the royalty disputes, but he determined that the university's decision to jump the gun warranted a transfer to Medtronic's choice of venue, Colorado, over...
