Hospitals Should Have A Say In E-Records Design: AHA

Law360, New York (September 21, 2012, 5:37 PM EDT) -- Health care providers should have a say in the designing and testing of electronic health records, especially when those records will be used to judge whether the providers are improving the quality of care, the American Hospital Association told federal regulators Wednesday.

The comments came in response to a request for information from the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality on how best to measure health care quality using information technology like electronic records.
