BlackBerry Maker Mulls Supreme Court Appeal In Patent Case

Law360, New York (August 4, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- BlackBerry maker Research in Motion, Inc. is considering an appeal to the Supreme Court of the Federal Circuit’s latest decision in its drawn-out and acrimonious dispute with NTP Inc.

“RIM may seek en banc review of [the] ruling of the [Federal Circuit] panel as to the affirmed patent claims and may also seek review by the United States Supreme Court,” RIM said in a statement.
