Drug Biz Worried Over User Fees' Fate Under Sequestration

Law360, New York (September 21, 2012, 6:44 PM EDT) -- Drugmakers expect to pay full U.S. Food and Drug Administration user fees under a sequestered budget, even though the FDA won't be able to use some of those fees, the head of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America said in a speech Thursday.

John Castellani, president and CEO of PhRMA, explained what the industry thinks will happen if the sequestration goes into effect, slicing more than 8 percent from the FDA's budget.
