Shell, Quicksilver Team Up On Colo. Shale Project

Law360, New York (September 24, 2012, 1:31 PM EDT) -- A unit of Royal Dutch Shell PLC and Quicksilver Resources Inc. are joining forces to develop shale oil and gas properties in Northwest Colorado's Sand Wash basin, sharing land and management responsibilities, Quicksilver announced Monday.

Splitting working interests in the new joint venture equally, Quicksilver and SWEPI LP will establish an area of mutual interest that covers more than 850,000 acres. With more of the land coming from Texas-based Quicksilver, the Shell unit has agreed to pay for half of the differential in acreage, Quicksilver said....
