DOJ Wants More Info On DigitalGlobe's $900M GeoEye Buy

Law360, New York (September 24, 2012, 2:23 PM EDT) -- Federal antitrust regulators asked DigitalGlobe Inc. for more information on its proposed $900 million buyout of fellow satellite imagery company GeoEye Inc., the company said Monday, delaying approval of the deal by at least a month.

The U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust unit sent DigitalGlobe a so-called second request in the agency's antitrust review of the proposed transaction. The tentative deal, announced in July, also requires approval from the Federal Communications Commission and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, according to the company.
