Mayer Brown To Cut 20 Employees From London Office

Law360, New York (September 25, 2012, 7:21 PM EDT) -- Mayer Brown LLP is expected to lay off nearly 20 staff members in its London office, although no attorney positions are being eliminated, the firm confirmed Tuesday.

The firm said that it continually reviews all aspects of its operations in an effort to increase productivity and efficiency in response to clients’ demands for greater value. The most recent review led Mayer Brown to conclude that a number of non-attorney positions should be cut and met with staff members as part of redundancy consultations.
