Hospital Mergers May Help Competition, AHA Tells 6th Circ.

Law360, New York (September 25, 2012, 7:20 PM EDT) -- The American Hospital Association on Monday told the Sixth Circuit that under current market circumstances, the denial of hospital merger applications may ultimately harm competition, urging the court to consider overturning a Federal Trade Commission decision ordering ProMedica Health System Inc. to sell a recently acquired hospital.
