Stryker Recalls Neptune Devices After Death Reported

Law360, New York (September 25, 2012, 8:16 PM EDT) -- Stryker Corp. said Tuesday it has issued a worldwide recall of some of its Neptune Rover system medical devices after the company received two reports of serious injury, including one fatality, as a result of tissue damage associated with the use of one version of the system.

The system is a rolling machine that has various mechanisms to collect and dispose of surgical waste and fluids, and the recall expands an earlier notice about faulty instructions accompanying some versions of the devices.
