Pulte, Others Seek To Block Ariz. Copper Mine Plan

Law360, New York (September 26, 2012, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Pulte Home Corp., a residential developer and a water utility on Friday sued the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to stop it from approving a wastewater permit for a copper mine they say will ruin the drinking water for current and future residents.

Pulte, SWVP-GTIS MR LLC and Johnson Utilities LLC claim Canadian mineral exploration company Curis Resources Ltd. relocated the proposed mine site to a nearby parcel of state-owned land and asked the state for permission after failing to obtain approval for the permit from...
