ShengdaTech Investors Seek Hogan's Removal In KPMG Row

Law360, New York (September 28, 2012, 4:20 PM EDT) -- Asset managers accusing KPMG LLP and others of misrepresenting the financial health of now-bankrupt chemical maker ShengdaTech Inc. asked a federal court Tuesday to disqualify Hogan Lovells from representing KPMG in the litigation over its work in ShengdaTech's Chapter 11.

“This representation is directly adverse to plaintiffs, and is in conflict with Hogan Lovells’ concurrent and past representations of certain plaintiffs in matters relating to ShengdaTech,” investment companies including Oaktree Capital Management LP said in a brief supporting their motion.
