Fiat Asks Court To Set Price On Chrysler Shares

Law360, Wilmington (September 26, 2012, 7:32 PM EDT) -- Fiat SpA's North American unit petitioned a Delaware court Wednesday to resolve a dispute over how much the Italian carmaker should pay a union benefits trust for an additional 3.3 percent stake in Chrysler Group LLC.

In July, Fiat exercised a call option to increase its current 58.5 percent stake in the Detroit automaker, but the United Auto Workers Voluntary Employees Beneficiary Association — a trust that owns the remainder of Chrysler — refused to deliver, according to a complaint filed in Delaware Chancery Court....
