Senate Dems Urge Interior To Deny Shell Arctic Oil Leases

Law360, New York (September 26, 2012, 8:01 PM EDT) -- Leading Democratic senators Friday urged the U.S. Department of the Interior to scrap planned oil and gas leases eyed by Royal Dutch Shell PLC in the Alaskan Arctic, saying the industry hasn't proven it's capable of containing disastrous spills in the harsh environment.
