Barbershop Logos Fly In Face Of 'Superman' Marks, DC Says

Law360, New York (September 27, 2012, 2:02 PM EDT) -- Time Warner Inc.'s DC Comics on Tuesday lobbed a trademark infringement suit at a Florida barbershop owner, alleging that promotional materials for the owner's two shops use DC's protected “Superman” logos without permission.

The suit, filed in Florida federal court, targets Reginal B. Jones and his business, Supermen Fades to Fros LLC, claiming that they market barber services using signage and logos that incorporate the “Superman” trademarks owned by DC.
