Judge Guts $200M Ace Subrogation Suit Over Plant Explosion

Law360, New York (September 27, 2012, 9:05 PM EDT) -- A Connecticut federal judge on Thursday dismissed claims against seven companies targeted in Ace American Insurance Co.'s subrogation suit seeking compensation for $200 million in losses associated with a deadly explosion at a Connecticut power plant in 2010.

U.S. District Judge Stefan Underhill granted motions to dismiss brought by subcontractors involved in the procedure that led to the explosion — including Bluewater Energy Solutions Inc., Keystone Construction & Maintenance Services Inc., Siemens Energy Inc. and WorleyParsons Group Inc. — saying that the companies cannot be sued...
