Advocate Opposes Alliant's New Coal-Fired Plant

Law360 (October 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Alliant Energy Corp. unit has met opposition to its plans for a new coal-fired plant from the Iowa consumer advocate, who contends that the power it would generate can be produced more efficiently and that the facility would force rates up.
