Blocking Ore. Wind Farms: Overstepping Authority?

Law360, New York (October 22, 2012, 2:45 PM EDT) -- The Ralls Corporation, a Chinese-owned wind farm developer, has sued President Obama and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, raising statutory and constitutional challenges to recent orders by the president of the United States and CFIUS that effectively require Ralls to unwind its acquisition of four wind farm projects in Oregon. This appears to be only the second order issued by a sitting U.S. president since CFIUS was established in 1975.
