Manufacturer Madison-Kipp Accused Of Spreading PCBs

Law360, New York (September 28, 2012, 3:30 PM EDT) -- The Wisconsin attorney general's office lodged a suit Friday accusing manufacturer Madison-Kipp Corp. of violating Wisconsin's hazardous substance spills law by never notifying the state of unauthorized chemical discharges and failing to take proper remediation measures to address the environmental damage.

Although Madison-Kipp was informed in 2006 that oil containing hazardous polychlorinated biphenyls had been spread at its Madison aluminum die-casting facility, it illegally withheld that information from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for more than six years, the suit said.
