Avista Agrees To Pay $4M Yearly Rent On Dams

Law360 (October 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Avista Corp. has agreed to pay the state of Montana a minimum of $4 million per year to quell a lawsuit over the company's operation of two hydroelectric dams on state property, becoming the second of three power-generation companies involved in the suit to strike a deal to resolve the state's complaint.
