Supreme Court Won't Hear Mining Industry's Forest Rule Appeal

Law360, New York (October 1, 2012, 4:20 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear an appeal challenging a Tenth Circuit decision reinstating a federal rule preventing road construction and commercial logging in millions of acres of national forest, despite arguments the rule unfairly prevents mining and oil and gas extraction on the land.
