Senators Vow To Fight Loosening Of Media Ownership

Law360 (October 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two U.S. senators said Wednesday they would have no qualms about taking legislative action to block an expected decision by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission that would relax rules governing media ownership.

Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.) said in a statement that the FCC's plan to expedite the schedule for proposing and voting on the rule changes is “a big mistake” and “unacceptable.”
