Court Defers Global Power Ruling Until Tuesday

Law360, New York (October 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The judge overseeing Global Power Equipment Group Inc.'s Chapter 11 proceedings put off deciding whether to approve company's disclosure statement until Tuesday because of two unresolved objections to a proposed settlement pact, but the company is still on track to have the disclosure statement approved by Oct. 31, an attorney for the debtors said Thursday.

Global Power didn't get the formal court approval at Wednesday's hearing it needs to begin sending out plan solicitation materials. But U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Brendan Shannon set a Dec. 20 date...
